D-ENERGi is a real alternative to the big six energy suppliers.
Incorporated in 2002 we have become one of the longest established and well respected UK independent businesses energy suppliers.
Save When You Switch Business Energy Providers
The UK has many micro-businesses who could save money on their overheads by simply switching their business energy providers.
Also, it is easier for these small firms to switch than it is for larger firms and organisations.
The best time to source a new energy contract is while there are more than 30 days still remaining on your current energy contract.
This is when the current supplier will get in touch, usually around 60 days before the contract is due for renewal, to inform you what your next year’s rates will be.
New business energy supplier
The idea of having this information will then put the micro-business owner in a better position to negotiate a better deal with their current business energy supplier or search the market for a better deal and sign up to a new deal.
This may appear to be time-consuming but it will be time well spent because the potential savings can be substantial by simply swapping your firm’s energy providers.
For those micro-businesses who have signed up to a fixed term contract, then the end date of this contract, and any notice period will be detailed on the bill.
The business owner can inform their current supplier before the notice period begins that they are switching to a new provider.
Great business energy prices available
There are some great business energy prices available for micro-businesses which are usually those firms that have fewer than 10 employees and a turnover of less than £2 million.
Also, a micro-businesses is defined as using less than 100,000 kWh of electricity annually and also less than 293,000 kWh of gas.
Under Ofgem rules, a micro-business is no longer restricted when it comes to arranging a new energy deal with the rigid timeframes that are imposed on larger firms.
This means that while bigger firms have a specific timeframe to act in, this window does not affect micro-businesses in the same way.
This also means that when a business or organisation miss this window of opportunity they are usually rolled onto a ‘deemed’ contract which tends to be more expensive and will run for at least another year.
